Elegant Spring Cake

This is a cake I named Elegant Spring Cake. I made this cake for a my friends' birthdays this month in March.  Since Spring is right around the corner, I thought it would be appropriate for something fresh, stylish, and chic.  I chose bright yellow for the handmade flowers while the metallic finish in silver still made it elegant. Feliz cumpleanos, chicas! 

Romantic Ruffled Birthday Cake

My husband's grandmother (babanne) turned either 92 or 93 this year. Yes,  we are not sure because there was discrepancy back in the day with what the actual year was on her birth certificate! Anyway, babanne was so happy to have a cake for her birthday this year.  She said her birthday was SO nice this year, it would probably be her last (even though she has been saying this is her "last birthday" for past 20 years)!

I choose a ruffled and Tiffany & Co. colors to create the style of the cake below.

Father-to-be Birthday Cake

Here is a cake for the father-to-be on his 35 th birthday.  In two weeks he will be expecting his first child, a baby girl! What better gift to receive than the gift of a child, so a baby girl poking out of the box seem to suit the theme.  Happy birthday to the daddy-to-be and congratulations on your new bundle of joy!

Nintendo Wii Luigi Cake

I know, I know my son just turned 3 and I can't believe he is already into Wii Nintendo, specifically Wii Mario Kart.  His big brother, Arda, plays the game meanwhile Eren plays along his side moving the remote side to side and up and down and of course has no idea what he is doing.  He thinks he is playing along and goes crazy when he sees Mario, Luigi, and Peach.

I asked Eren what he wanted for his cake this year and without hesitation he said, " Weegee (Luigi) cake, Weegee cake".  Then he brings me the Wii Nintendo box and points to the race car on the box, meaning Luigi's race car.  Only 3 and already so detailed and demanding - OMG!
How time flies..... I LOVE You, Eren!  Happy 3rd Birthday!
