Happy Birthday, Derin!  Derin turned 7 this year and loves the Chicago Bulls.
He requested a Chicago Bulls cake and basketball favor cookies to go with his
birthday theme.  Gooo Bulls!

Soccer/Futbol Pastalar

This was my husband's 35th birthday cake on February 9, 2010.

 He is huge Galatasaray fan - so what else could I do, right?

The cake displays a red and yellow scarf, soccer ball, and Galatasaray's official logo.

Star Wars rocks my son's world these days so he was quite
jealous when I made this cake.  I decorated this cake with
the cool blue and rockin' red light sabers - gotta have these, right?
To get the glitter look, I first rolled out the fondant. Secondly, I used a fine bristled paint brush and "painted" the fondant with the glitter (I used Wilton's edible glitter dust in Silver). When finished, I used a star cookie-cutter for the stars.
