1st Birthday Princess Cake

I couldn't believe one year had already passed by so quickly when I heard little Nehir was going to be one! If you remember, the year before I made her Mevlut cookies (see below) and now was going to make her first birthday cake.  Time does fly! Happy 1st Birthday, Nehir!

Angel Mevlüt Cookie/Melek Mevlüt Kurabiye

These angel cookies were made for little baby Nehir.  She celebrated her Mevlüt (a religious ceremony) with her family this past weekend.  The cookie includes the angel, a butterfly and 'evil eye' symbol or nazar boncu (bon-jo) in Turkish.  The evil eye symbol brings protection and good luck to all.  God bless you, Nehir.

A Lavish Lavender Bridal Shower

The color lavender and butterflies, my two favorites, and I believe a perfect combination. These two beautiful cookies, bridal corset and cake, are decorated with a white background and a lavender butterfly  accent. The finished favor is wrapped in a cellophane bag with pretty purple and white a ribbon.

If your bride has a sweet tooth or if you're looking for something different to do at a
bridal shower check this out! I found this elegant and beautiful candy buffet from
Save the Date for Cupcakes. So lavish and beautiful!
